When The Jolly Trolley Foundation visited our group home through the Lullaby Lane program, it brought a kind of joy and light we hadn’t felt in a long time. As a mother working to rebuild stability for my children, I often struggle to find safe, structured, and positive outlets for them, especially in the evenings.

That night on the trolley, I watched my 4-year-old daughter laugh, dance, and climb with confidence I hadn’t seen in weeks. The coaches were gentle and encouraging, and they made every child feel seen and celebrated. For that one hour, my daughter wasn’t a kid from a shelter, she was just a kid, having fun, being free, and feeling loved.

It gave me hope too. Seeing her so happy reminded me that we’re not alone, and that there are people out there who care. The Jolly Trolley didn’t just give my child a night of play; they gave our whole family a reminder that healing can come in small, joyful moments.
