Lullaby Lane is The Jolly Trolley Foundation’s evening outreach program that brings our colorful mobile classroom to women’s shelters, foster group homes, and community centers in underserved Houston neighborhoods. Operating three nights a week, Lullaby Lane delivers joyful movement and early childhood enrichment directly to communities with limited access to safe, engaging play. Designed for the early evening hours—when many children in transitional housing experience increased stress or restlessness—each session incorporates calming movement, sensory play, gentle music, and storytelling to help children feel safe, connected, and ready for rest. Our coaches are trained in trauma-informed practices, creating consistent, nurturing experiences that support healthy sleep habits, reduce anxiety, and promote overall well-being for young children navigating instability.

The Jolly Trolley Foundation delivers interactive literacy and movement sessions that help toddlers and preschoolers fall in love with books while strengthening essential motor skills. Through these partnerships, we provide thousands of books and engaging literacy sessions each year, inspiring a lifelong love of reading and learning in Houston’s youngest learners.

$100 per child: Thanksgiving Day Parade Sponsor or Volunteer
For Houston’s favorite fall event, the Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Jolly Trolley will ride through the Christmas section of the parade with children from group homes along our Lullaby Lane route inside the trolley. You can volunteer to help during the event or sponsor a child’s parade experience for $100.
